Cloves Team Up With Eyvind Kang 9/28/07 - The band are currently working with orchestra arranger Eyvind Kang.
Last Show of the Summer 8/4/06 - The band will be playing their last show of the summer before they go into the studio to start work on their debut record. The show is part of the Kirkland Concerts at Marina Park series which is on the beautiful Kirkland waterfront. For directions click here.

Cloves To Record First Full Length 5/8/06 - The band are slated to go into the studio to start work the last week of August with producer Shawn Simmons. Release date for the band's debut record is yet to be determined.

The Cloves Return to The Triple Door and Dedicate Song to New Orleans 9/4/05 - The band played two new songs Saturday night at one of best venues Seattle has to offer. The first being "Revival" which they started their set off with, along with a White Album Beatlesque pop number entitled "Ted Knows." The band closed their set playing "Tidal Sun" which the band dedicated to "our brothers and sisters in New Orleans."

Cloves Rock Showbox 7/24/05 - The Cloves played along side good friends The Republic and Handful of Luvin' to a packed Showbox last night. thewigfitsallheads.com writes "The Cloves played a great set, varying between harmonizing power ballads like Am I Safe? and Ignored, the blissfully danceable pop of Prescriptions, and an edgier, harder sound, like the pounding drums of their last song of the night, Tidal Sun. The songwriting is undeniably passionate and cutting, and the musicianship of each member of the band is equally as powerful."

Sumner band would like to have a street name - Puyallup Herald 6/30/05 - Kevin Poleskie and Michael Hochstatter wouldn't mind having a Sumner road named after their band. "I guess that's our goal-a street name," Poleskie said with a smile. The Cloves Play Live on 103.7 The Mountain 6/23/05 - The Cloves dropped by The Mountain Music Lounge to chat with host Marty Reimer yesterday. They then played two acoustic songs including a new song entitled "But You." The band is featured as the station's "Local Access" band for the month of June. The Cloves Share Bill With NY Rockers Longwave 6/20/05 - The Cloves opened for NYC-based band Longwave to very receptive crowd at The Triple Door yesterday in Seattle. Longwave have toured with such bands The Strokes, and worked with producers John Leckie (Radiohead's The Bends, The Verve's first album, The Stone Roses).

"Sumner Duos Star On The Rise" - Tacoma News Tribune 4/08/05 - The Cloves, a Sumner-bred rock band, are generating a buzz from their own back yard and up into Seattle. Childhood friends Michael Hochstatter and Kevin Poleskie formed the Sumner-bred band, which plays a melodic brand of rock that stylistically falls somewhere between the 60s band the Byrds and the late Elliott Smith. That sound, built around the founding duos sweet vocal harmonizing, earned the Cloves also guitarist Chris Walbridge and drummer Jason Maybell two dates at The Showbox nightclub in Seattle, one as an opening act last fall and the most recent as a headliner in January. The Cloves Play To Sold Out Crowd at Seattle's Triple Door 4/01/05 - The band celebrated the release of their debut EP "Waiting For The World To Be" in Seattle last Friday. Playing to a sold out crowd at The Triple Door, the band broke the single show attendance record with 290. Playing all the tracks of their debut release and then some, they were then called back for an encore. |
